A Quaker school education is based on the beliefs and testimonies of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).
Quakers embrace the principles of tolerance, equality and spirituality. They believe the Inner Light, or God, is in each of us. Quaker schools reflect these philosophies in the classroom, creating a learning environment that is flexible, challenging and understanding.

Each Quaker school has its own unique style and personality. However, they all have a common purpose: to provide a rich and rewarding education, and to foster community, spirituality, responsibility and stewardship.

Earlham School of Religion, the primary Quaker Seminary, founded on Quaker values. We provide a Christian theological education to all who wish to participate in a spiritual and academic journey for good. In the face of persistent inequality, poverty, violence and other forms of oppression in today’s world, our students and faculty are spurred to committed, loving action. Through service, we are able to share our unique voices and talents in ways that heal and unite. esr.earlham.edu

George School - A Quaker, coeducational boarding and day school, grades nine through twelve in Newtown, Pennsylvania  is committed to being a community where people with vastly different backgrounds, identities, and perspectives are united both in their respect for the unique gifts that each brings and in pursuit of a common good.

We place a high value on diversity and on the ways that our convictions, both individually and collectively, are broadened, strengthened, and enlightened when we appreciate and respect a range of perspectives.

This belief is reflected in the school’s motto, Mind the Light. https://www.georgeschool.org/
