Our Meeting has folks from a wide geographic area. We seek to bring a Quaker presence through participation and monetary donations.

The Interfaith Story Circles
A Project of the United Faiths Walk of Peace

The Dunedin Interfaith Story Circle is an outgrowth of the United Faiths Walk of Peace which began in 2016. Its purpose is to promote peace, justice, and mutual respect by bringing faith communities together for fellowship, dialogue, and increased knowledge of each other’s faith beliefs.

The Dunedin Interfaith Story Circle is modeled after Interfaith Story Circles in upstate New York which have been meeting since 1993. Interfaith Story Circles gather people of all spiritual and faith paths to share stories from their traditions and personal lives. Each monthly gathering has a theme that is announced in advance.

The heart-to-heart process of storytelling and story listening fosters an appreciation for the commonality of the human experience and builds community.

Following the featured speakers, attendees will break into groups to share stories and get to know each other better. Stories may be personal experiences, from your faith, or traditional tales. Come and share your story related to this month’s theme, or just come and listen. Either way, you will be warmly welcomed.

Day of Peace 2024

Celebrate International Day of Peace 2024
with the United Faiths Walk of Peace Community

Saturday, September 21, 6:00 pm
Faith UCC Dunedin
1650 Pinehurst Road
(across from Dunedin High School)

We will gather around the butterfly garden to share words of peace from
different faith communities, and with peace in our hearts, dedicate Faith UCC’s new Peace Pole.

We will provide some chairs, but please bring your own if possible.
The International Day of Peace was established in 1981 by unanimous
United Nations resolution to provide a date for all humanity to commit to
Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.

Peace4Tarpon

Clearwater Friends supports Peace4Tarpon, a non-profit organization serving our area.

"Peace4Tarpon Trauma Informed Community Initiative is a  grassroots effort – the first of its kind in the nation. Peace4Tarpon looks through a “trauma informed lens” to seek the root causes of our most challenging issues rather than addressing symptoms. We are working to create a peaceful and thriving Tarpon Springs."  https://www.peace4tarpon.org/
